reviews, but this doesnt always give you the answers you are looking
for. Below, I will share with you the specific Marketing Resources
that I use, personally.

My personal recommendation would be to take Sharon & Roy's

foundation, and put you in a position to continue learning - and
serve as a reminder and motivator in all things SEO. These are

If you plan to promote your own website, products or services
via PPC, then Perry Marshall's guide is the one for you. He covers
the specifics of Google Adwords, and of increasing your Click-Thru
Rate (CTR) and your Conversion Rate. While he doesnt focus on
Affiliate Marketing, his guide is also thorough enough for those
who plan to promote affiliate programs through direct links.

The original "beginners guide" to promoting affiliate
programs on Google Adwords, Chris Carpenter shares the steps to
getting started. This guide focuses strictly on Affiliate Marketing,
and how to work from home promoting affiliate programs without
a website.

Following Google Cash, this is the latest guide on PPC
Affiliate Marketing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for those of you that
would like to promote affiliate programs on Google Adwords. I
just downloaded this guide myself in November '04, and was really
impressed with it.

If you are only going to promote affiliate programs,
you should grab Google Adwords 123. Trust me - you don't want
to start out without a guide, as you could easily lose money on
your first few Campaigns learning things for yourself. And actually,
that's what happened to me... until I stopped everything, downloaded
and read a guide, and then was able to turn back around and profit
over $2,000/month consistently ;)
If
you are planning to promote your own website, you should
study Perry Marshall's guide (The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords).
He is the expert in the industry, and the one person that
you can teach you everything you need to know about PPC Marketing.

This was actually the first and only Affiliate Marketing guide
that I purchased, personally. Rosalind goes into great depth,
and covers the research and implentation in great detail. She
has a very good writing style, which makes it easy to understand...
a terrific resource for those who are new to Affiliate Marketing
and would like to capitalize on the vast opportunities!

If you are already familiar with Affiliate Marketing, you can
still expect to glean a lot of details & resources from Rosalind's
Guide. That said, if you have a specific marketing method in mind
- such as promoting Affiliate Programs via SEO or PPC, then you
will want to dig into more specific guides on those topics.

Keyword
Research Resources
I
use a combination of both WordTracker
and Keywords
Analyzer. I generally start with the Free Trial at
WordTracker. I type in the most general keyword related to the
topic or the product that I am researching. This gives me an idea
of whether I want to dig deeper into the research, or drop it
and choose another product/topic altogether.
Keywords
Analyzer accesses the Overture database, and is an
*excellent* brainstorming tool. It not only shows you the number
of searches for any given keyword or phrase, but also shows you
the number of results (web pages) in the search engines - AND
the number of Adwords & Overture pay-per-click campaigns that
are currently running for that keyword/phrase.
And
actually - this is just a TASTE of what kind of data you can pull
from the program. You can even analyze the PPC Ads that are running
on Adwords and Overture for each of the keywords: see the headlines
they are using, the URL's of their landing pages, etc. As you
can imagine, this is helpful in determining if most of the competing
advertisers are promoting the same product ;)
(If
you are researching keywords for a PPC campaign, you can also
wrap all of your keywords in "quotes" and [brackets]
... from right within the Keywords Analyzer program!)
You will get a very good idea about the profit potential of any
product or market - in a matter of minutes... and "at a glance".
Quite literally, it will show you hundreds of related keywords
& phrases - and enough data to get a basic idea of how steep
the competition is... or not.
