About Your Link Strategy
Important Link-Building News
In last week's issue, I gave you three great resources: $10 Logos,
a Free Blog Submissi0n to a quality Directory, and a 'hub-finding'
tool. You can find all of that archived on the main site at: http://www.selfstartersweeklytips.com/archives/042506.htm
As promised, we'll take a closer look at that hub-finding tool
that I gave you the link to.
Here
it is again: http://www.webuildpages.com/tools/common-backlinks/
Let me start by saying this: Link Building as
we've known it is going to have to change. Getting "inbound
links" isn't the be-all-end-all of SEO anymore... or at least
won't be for long.
That's
not to say that good quality links shouldnt be sought after -
because they *should*. But all of this link submission, link requests,
links pages, submitting to directories by the hundreds, etc -
it's just not adding value to the web.
That's
good news, isnt it? Because let's be honest - all of these 'link
exchange emails' are just a huge waste of our time for the most
part.
Back to the tool at the link above...
Enter
in 10 of your competitors (or your site, and 9 of your competitors)
and then press "Go". It
then returns a list of sites that link to 2 or more of your competitors.
These are sites you might want to contact to request links from
- this is part of the 'neighborhood' you want to be in. source
In the linking world, there are "neighborhoods"
and "hubs". Just like society judges you by the company
that you keep, major search engines judge your web pages by the
company that they keep... or the pages that they link to and get
links from.
Instead
of repeating information, I'm going to send you straight to the
source - where I've been learning more about Quality Link Building
myself. First, if you havent read this yet, you want to check
out this article on Co-Citation by Jim Boykin:
Understanding
Co-Citation and How it Affects You
There's another good article titled "What's in your link
quality?" by Michael Martinez that you can find here: http://www.seomoz.org/blogdetail.php?ID=953
Inbound Links are not JUST a way to get better search
engine rankings. They are also a great way to get targ'eted
traffic to your web pages from other related sites. If you shift
your focus in this direction while you are 'link building', and
work towards gaining quality links in to your website (which includes
your internal pages, not just your main page), then you will notice
a nice increase in quality traffic... as well as better search
engine rankings.
More
Traffic, More Sales, Higher ROI...
That's what we're aiming for, right? ;-)
How
To Build Inbound Links and
Long-Term Traffic To Your Website
I just read a great Link/Traffic Building guide by Paul Short
this morning. The timing was great! It is a step by step guide
to gaining new traffic to your sites, getting new sites established
in the major search engines, and "future-proofing" your
Link Strategy (to avoid getting 'hit' by future search engine
updates).
Like
I said, the timing was great knowing that I was going to email
you on this very topic today. Unfortunately I found out that Paul
is not yet making this guide available to the public.
BUT,
I did talk him into letting you guys get a copy :-)
Here's the page Paul set up:
http://www.exseo.com/guide.html
From the guide: "Link building techniques
that worked a few years ago simply dont work as well anymore.
In fact, many of them can get your sites booted out of the search
engines..."
Again, this product is not yet available publicly on any of Paul's
websites, so you are the first to get your hands on his NEW link
building report. I pulled some serious strings (um, I begged)
to get him to make this available for you.
The
price is $24.95 (for now, and only for you). In the process of
going public with this product, Paul is creating video tutorials
and adding even more Link Building tips to the guide. Obviously
this product will sell for a higher price when he officially launches
it...
BUT
if you grab your copy today, you will get all of those updates
for *FREE* :-)
Again, here is the link that Paul set up for you:
--> http://www.exseo.com/guide.html
If you want to pay at least 50% more, and WAIT to get this timely
information, then be my guest. But if you ask me, NOW is the time
to jump on this, get ahead of your competition, and start working
towards an increase in site traffic and earnings!
UPDATE: I
should have mentioned that the link to Paul's guide (above)
is a time sensitive one. Obviously he will have to remove
that page once he officially makes the guide available...

Enjoy!
