Many email programs let you import lists, but I don't know any serious provider that will let you send any email to these subscribers unless they CONFIRM their subscription. It's not enough your statement that sometime, 1 day ago, 1 week ago, 1 year ago or years ago they agreed to accept your emails. Everyone from your imported list will have actually to RESUBSCRIBE.

Thanks for your replies. How do I get someone to resubscribe if I can't email them. I really am quite new at trying to build a list and was just wondering the best way to go about getting in touch with these people with an introductry email to see if they would be interested in resubscribing.
I did just open an aweber account.
