Hi all,
I may post this quesiton on other forums as well, but I'm going here first.

I'm doing a new site, and want to put a search box on it, so users can search the site.
Is there a free script available?

I use the google search tool for my site

Example: http://www.usawahm.com

I like the way it returns results in a way that people are used to viewing

Hi Kelly,
Is that a free service?
Are there conditions?
Do you get any benefit from someone searching 'the web' option as opposed to 'your site' option?

Do those questions make sense?!

If you go to Bravenet.com and do a search under Webmaster tools you will find exactly what you are looking for.....it's free as well.

GREAT suggestion!
Unfortunately I went to Bravenet, got the search box in and it works fine, but it has waaaaay too many ads attached, unacceptably so in my view.
So I'm after something similar but without the ads?

Hey Gordon,

I have just referred to my handy dandy book of URL's to remember.

Another option is Jimworld.com, from memory this one is ad free.

Worth a look.

(Cool huh?) There is no kick back to me for them searching google. Just a free tool. No Conditions that I am aware of.

Here is the code. Just change the domain info to you in every instance and intall it where you want it
