Best Script to install for Chat?

I'm looking for a script to install Chat on a few websites. It needs to be ad-free and totally customizable (to integrate into current layout, etc). Java seems glitchy, PHP is *okay* but I dont like the screen-refresh thingy
Can you recommend something GOOD, FAST and customizable?

I used one from for a while and really liked it. It was the only one I found that was easy to implement and use with just a small bit of code. It is Java based.
It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but I liked it. Here is a list of

I heard of people wanting a web-based chat but dislike the refresh thingy. Previous the solution to that is Java. But then again, I recall having heard of PHP+Flash chat. So I looked it up for you ... Try the following links
