I need some help with a form

Hello everyone,

I have a page on my site where people can create their own basket. You can look at it here: http://www.abcgiftsandbaskets.com/create2.htm

People like the concept, but it's very time consuming and cumbersome to use it the way it is now. So, I would like to come up with an easier to use form.

I had someone do that for me last year, and here is the page they created: http://www.abcgiftsandbaskets.com/create.htm

Unfortunaltely, it never worked.

I searched the web and found a script, and created my own page, but I am stuck. Here is the page I have now: http://www.abcgiftsandbaskets.com/create-new2.htm

I like it very much: the fact that people can pick their products, they can see the total, all in one easy step. but I am not sure what to do next. The Submit button doesn't do anything.

I need to somehow send this information to my email (so that I know what items to use to create their basket), and to my shopping cart so that they can leave payment information. I use the free vession of www.mals-e.com

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated: I really want to make this work. I am open to any suggestions to make this a reality, even if I have to learn something new.

Ok, I think the problem is in the Form tag:

<form name=myform> <form action="http://ww3.aitsafe.com/cf/add.cfm" method="POST" name="custom" id="custom">

you need to change this to something like
<form name=myform> <form action="mailto:YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS HERE" method="POST" name="custom" id="custom">

Hi Adriana, the one at create-new2 has some problems. First, it uses javascript which mean if your customer has javascript turned off, they can't use it.
The form is trying to send the info to aitsafe.com which is a secur server at ait.com. I don't know if that is what you want or not.

The one that you had someone do for you is a great looking script. According to the source of the page it is called basketbuilder.cgi. Do you know where this script is? I did a quick search and didn't come up with anything.

If you just want the form info sent to you you can put the mailto: in your form, but that is not going to send the info to the shopping cart.

If you are using paypal or something other than a merchant account you can just use the email system.

Who are you hosting with, you may have a perfectly good shopping cart already installed by your host.
