Database Analyst
NuVista, a dynamic, fast growing market strategy company is looking for a database analyst to join our team. The analyst will add rigor and discipline to the cleansing, storage, maintenance and extraction of data in our data warehouse

Job Description:
• Work with business stakeholders to understand and document the uses of data at NuVista
• House data from multiple external sources and formats in the company’s data warehouse. As new data arrive:
o Develop and document data dictionary in NuVista standard format
o QC, cleanse, map, profile and store data in NuVista warehouse
o Maintain version control of legacy data
• Develop macros to extract data and create reports in EXCEL
• Perform adhoc data extraction requests for business development and client service staff
Requirements:

Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of the data manipulation components of SQL and SAS, and familiarity with ETL software
• Hands on experience with data quality assessment , QC methodologies and cleansing tools
• Experience developing and maintaining data schemas
• Experience with data integration and migration technologies and techniques
• Experience with data sharing methodologies and tools
• Training/education in data warehousing
• Solid foundation in and experience creating VBA reports in EXCEL
• Attention to detail, passion for organizing and comfort in small office environment
• Individual corp to corp or 1099
• Bay area only
• Flexible hours, opportunity to work off-site
