About the Job
Galveston.com is seeking three seasonal employees for our call center. These positions will run from now through Labor Day (Sept 7, 2009). Hours will vary between 30 and 35 hours weekly. The positions are for day, night, and weekend shifts. Employees will have the option to work from home after a two-week in office training period.
Responsibilitiesinclude:
- Call Center staff are responsible for handling incoming calls inquiring on:
General Galvestoninformation
Searching for and bookinghotel rooms
Booking airport transfers
Booking cruise shipparking
Selling tickets to localshows and events all through our proprietary software.
Qualifications shouldinclude:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-A positive attitude is extremely important - employees may be the firstimpression guests receive of Galveston Island.
-Ability to work independently
-Strong organizational; interpersonal and telephone skills
-Computer with high-speed internet
-Attention to detail and accuracy
-Computer & internet savvy
-Quiet work environment
-Punctuality is 100% critical.
-General knowledge of Galveston is preferred
