This is a work-from-home sales/customer service position. Please read the following information carefully before applying. Only those who follow the instructions precisely will be considered. If we interview you, we will pay you a fee equal to .50 cents per mile of your travel to our office, one way only. For example, if you are 22 miles away from our office, we will pay you $11.00 to interview you.

What we do:

We are an internet company in Los Angeles. At this time, we are looking to hire two sales people to sell our services to other companies. You will primarily be contacting prospects on the phone and giving them a demo of what the site does. Most people who have seen the demo buy. While the names of prospects will be provided to you, you are expected to obtain more.

Independent Contractor:
-----------------------
Because you will work from home, you will he hired as an independent contractor. Your salary and commissions will be paid to you as gross wages. No deductions will be taken for federal and state withholdings. You will not be covered by any workers compensation insurance and if you are injured on the job, we are not liable. At year end, we will issue you a 1099 and will report your wages to the IRS. At the time of hiring, you will sign an Agreement, which states you are an independent contractor without any work comp benefits and your employment is at will.

Qualifications:

The primary requirement is that you must have a fast Internet access, either DSL or Road Runner and you must absolutely have some phone sales experience. We are looking for someone who has a clear speaking voice and has a command of English, both in speaking and writing. Part of the job requires sending emails and responding to inquiries from clients and prospects.

Although an MBA, Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma is preferred, they are not necessary when accompanied by experience and ability. You must absolutely have some phone sales experience and you must be able to work without any supervision.

Training:

You will be trained in our offices in Calabasas for about two days. Again, while on training, you are not covered by a work comp policy because you are an independent contractor. During those two days, we will show you how to access our web interface and work in it.

Your work environment:
----------------------
While you will be working from home, there are particular requirements that must still be met. You will need to have a room dedicated to your work and free of interruptions. We will visit your home and must approve the location before hiring you. We will apply for a VoIP (Voice Over IP) digital phone account for you. You will make and receive all your phone calls from this VoIP account.

We will assign a toll free number to you that will ring directly into your home office. We will pay for the account and all costs associated with setting it up and maintaining it. However, as this will be a line that we own, we will be able to listen to all your incoming and outgoing calls for quality control purposes. This matter is explicitly stated in the agreement you will sign, and you must inform all prospects that the call is being recorded.

Salary and commission:

You will work about 6 hours a day and earn $12 per hour as your base salary. You will also receive a 10% commission for all new accounts you acquire, and a 5% commission for all renewal fees you generate. You can expect to earn about $50,000 in the second year and the sky’s the limit from there.
