A friend gave me a grinder and a whole box of different bags of gourmet coffee beans as a gift recently... so I finally decided to give it a try this week.

WOW!~ The first bag I decided to try is labled "Ridgetop Roast" and it is *excellent*. I usually like Hazelnut coffee (not flavored creamers - yuck) so I wasnt sure if I would like "regular coffee" but this definitely has a distinct flavor of its own. LOVIN' it!

I love coffee but my gallbladder doesn't, so only have it occasionally. I found Helmut Sacher coffee (just like in Vienna) which is smooth (the way I like my wine too! - maybe those marketing people have something there after all) and not bitter. Affordable too if you only have it once in a while.

P.S. By the way, how does one buy you a cup of coffee?

I never could stand the smell of coffee ( much less the taste), and since I quit smoking it is even worse.

My sense of smell came back with a vengance after I quite smoking.

These days, I can't even go down the soap isle or the candle isle or the coffee isle in the grocery store.

I have allergic type reactions to the smells.
I am sitting here right now, suffering like I had the flu because my MOM put on some type of perfume/body spray yesterday, that affects me the same way.

I love having a cup of coffee first thing in the morning and being on the PC working and checking on things....not only is it good for waking up but it is very relaxing! My Partner says I make the best cup of coffee and I have a certain way I make it also....but yes I do drink coffee everyday and if I can squeeze in two cups I do...normally one because I work a full time job and we cannot have coffee at work on the floor at your desk...bleh

Though I'm not much of a caffeine person, I would occasionally try coffee when in desperate need of energy. It would make me feel terrible - make me jittery, upset my stomach and give me 'have to move' energy which isn't helpful for working at the computer.

I recently tried Yerba Mate tea and love the 'effects'. Gives me mental 'alert' energy without the other side effects. But warning.. it does not taste good lol.
