You’ve joined Facebook. You’ve connected with your friends from High School, College, old Jobs, and more. Most of your family is on there too. So now what? How do you find new friends?
Inside of the new Facebook, at the bottom of the page, you'll see these little icons. You're looking for the one with the two little blue people. (It will say "Groups" when you hover over it.)
Within this area, you can search for groups on hundreds of different topics, including Network Marketing, and most likely the company that you’re already a part of. That’s also a good way to “hint” to others that you’re involved in Network Marketing, because your Facebook friends will be able to see what groups you’re a part of.
But you can also search for groups relating to your hobbies and interests. Swimming, Scrapbooking, Hiking, Quilting… no matter what it is… you can find other people that share those same interests.
The nice thing about the group pages is there are discussions going on which you can be a part of, and you can also make posts on the walls of the groups, just like you post comments to the walls of your friends. As you become involved in the group, don’t be surprised if you get random requests to add you as a friend - which means that it’s also a great place for you to add those friends as well.
So next time you’re in Facebook, check out the Groups area… join the ones that are interesting to you, and watch your new friends add right up!
