How Do You Find Your Niche In 2008

Hi i am wondering what are the most effective and easiest to implement methods of finding a niche today.

As we are in the year of 2008 i am just interested in finding out which methods would work.

I am more interested in any free methods available.

How do you know if you have found a niche or not?

Are there any good free ebooks anyone would recommend that are quite accurate and would take a newbie through the whole process?

Best bet is to always go with your passion. Following the money is putting the cart before the horse. Discover what you love to write about and the money will follow.

I also like the tip of doing something you enjoy. It's going to be tough if it's something you care nothing about.....would feel like pulling teeth to keep working on it, to me.
