Hi Yolanda!
"Hits" are not really an accurate measure of traffic. If you have one web page with 33 images on it, a visit to that page counts as 34
hits (the page + the 33 images). Instead, you can look at the "Page Views" as this will tell you how many html pages were viewed.
You might find this helpful, as it is the program used by :
http://www.http-analyze.org/results.html
Try this:
Click on "Statistics for the last 12 months" once you log in.
A small window should pop-up - click on the current month.
Now you should see these options:
--------------------------------------
Full Statistics for September 2003
Hits: by Day / by Weekday & Hour / by Country / 3D model
Items/URLs: Top Ten / Overview / Not Found / List
Browser Type: Top Ten / Overview / List
Referrer URL: Top Ten / Overview / List
--------------------------------------
I like to look at the "Items/URLs" to see which pages are getting the most views. Also the "Referrer URL" which will tell you which sites sent traffic to you - and how much. If you keep clicking deeper in the Referrer area, you can even see the exact searches that people performed to find your site (if those searches resulted in a click-through). You'll be able to see how you ranked in their search, and how your listing appeared - its really neat!
