If I have a web site eg. www.myweb.com and want to set up a blog to link to it what should I call the blog? www.myweb.com/blog?

Why set up a subdirectory for your blog?
Just use myweb.com as your blog and set a static front page (if you want a common message on your domain).
I assume you are using WordPress in this example but other blogging platforms may be able to provide the static front page option.
Then just set up your website on pages and create a page to link to your posts for the blog, dont bother with /blog
does this make sense??
