I've been running a community forum for a couple of years and it's doing ok, we get around 200 visitors per day, with about 40+ new posts daily and a loyal core of users (about 500).
Because that site is regional it kinda limits things, so I wanted to open another one, which would pull in a global interest, so picked the subject of Men's Health. I see a lot of similar boards dedicated to Female Issues, but not so many for men, so it is actually called The Simply Male Forum, and it opened on 8th September.
We have sections on Bad Habits,Dating,Depression,Diet and Nutrition,Fashion and Grooming,Fatherhood,Fitness and Exercise,Hair Loss,Impotence,Phobias,Prostrate Problems,Relationships,Serious Illness,Smoking,Sporting Health,Stress and Substance Abuse.
There's also a '*** and Sexuality' section, but you have to be a member to get into that one.
