Blog Link Generator - Spamming or Not?

I saw several sites selling tool that puts comment automatically to one's blog. Do you think it is one form of spamming or not?

From the product's description, it can personallized the message by putting a variable that will be replaced by the keyword. And it can only posting on blog's that does not have word/key/turring verification to post comment.

So... what you think? spam or not?

I second that. Yes, it is spam.

Spam - save your money. Besides, what they don't tell you is many blog systems have a 'no follow' code in their comment and trackback links. This comes by default. Yes, you can turn it off but most blog owners won't or just won't know any better to turn it off. So... those unrelated links are not going to help as far as spiders go.

But... commenting/trackbacking responsibly is still a good way to get real people to visit you. It's kinda like forums. You have something relevant or something to contribute, chances are people will visit you if you don't and it just looks spammy people stay away.
