In 2000, the founder’s son and CEO, Antonio Mugica, restructured the company, leveraging its immense strength in R&D and positioning it to benefit from emerging trends and technologies in the marketplace. He established channels for the application of Smartmatic’s unique developments by creating the four business divisions that are realizing the value of Smartmatic’s intellectual property and propelling the company’s growth.
