When you own websites you are always looking for ways to generate more traffic. My sites are not new but I am going to check out these articles to see what I may have missed. Thanks.

Traffic is what everyone is after, and luckily there are many ways to generate traffic cheap or at no cost. The major investment is going to be your time. Here are a couple ways that I've found successful...

1. Write and post original articles related to your niche on as many article directories and forums as you can. This technique will start out your traffic slowly, but as you continue to do this you will see your traffic increasing. This is a time and a numbers game and you just have to continue to be diligent with your articles.

2. Be sure to bookmark every page on your website at the various social bookmarking sites like delicious and digg. There are literally hundreds of these social bookmarking sites out there now.

3. Use social networks like myspace and youtube to get visitors to your website. There are many different techniques that you can use, and the techniques will vary depending on the social networking site that you are targeting. But just get out there and start doing it and you will develop your own way of doing it that works for you.

4. Create a free report that you can offer that has links back to your website and give visitors who download your report the rights to give it away for free.

5. If you have a product you are selling on your website, make sure that you have an affiliate program. If it's the type of product you can sell on clickbank, get it on there and you will have instant access to over 10,000 affiliates. Make sure you're also building a list on your site and once you have a decent list, you can start setting up joint ventures.
