When doing Affiliate program – do I need a website ?

A friend of mine said to me the other day – I don’t think you have to have a Website to do Affiliate marketing/programs - - -

Is this true – or – what ???

I would have thought that having a website would be advantageous – as the website owner could put all the links of the companies he/she has joined & market them in search engines
& other places on the web .

What do you think or know ?

The difference: this will put you in the highly competitive "internet marketing" market. When building your own site, you can choose any niche you want to target. For example, I target dart players with one of my affiliate sites (corkitup.com). The "clickbank mall" is a bit overdone in my opinion... not to say you cant make money with it, but its going to take some serious work to promote that in such a competitive market.
